देहरादून : Udham Singh Nagar मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने गुरुवार को जनपद ऊधम सिंह नगर के खटीमादृमेलाघाट राज्य मार्ग (राज्य मार्ग संख्या 107) के पुनर्निर्माण कार्यों का विधिवत पूजा-अर्चना कर शिलान्यास किया। यह परियोजना ₹2089.74 लाख की लागत से बनाई जाएगी। इसके अंतर्गत 11.50 किलोमीटर लंबी सड़क का पुनर्निर्माण, केसी ड्रेनेज सिस्टम, सड़क सुरक्षा कार्य, रोड साइनएज की स्थापना, तथा टीबीएम एवं बीसी द्वारा सुदृढ़ीकरण कार्य शामिल हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह सड़क केवल खटीमा क्षेत्र के विकास की धुरी नहीं है, बल्कि भारत-नेपाल सीमावर्ती संपर्क का भी महत्वपूर्ण मार्ग है। इस सड़क के सुधारीकरण से खटीमा और आसपास के ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों को न केवल सुगम यातायात सुविधा मिलेगी, बल्कि सीमावर्ती व्यापार, पर्यटन और शिक्षा से जुड़े अवसरों को भी नई दिशा मिलेगी।

उन्होंने कहा कि सड़क निर्माण कार्यों के साथ-साथ भू-कटाव रोकने और स्थानीय जल निकासी व्यवस्था के सुधार पर भी विशेष ध्यान दिया जाएगा, ताकि सड़क लंबे समय तक टिकाऊ और सुरक्षित बनी रहे। उन्होंने कहा कि खटीमा अब शिक्षा का हब बन चुका है, जहाँ से प्रदेश ही नहीं बल्कि सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों के विद्यार्थी भी शिक्षा प्राप्त कर रहे हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि राज्य सरकार का लक्ष्य है कि उत्तराखंड का हर क्षेत्र सुगम, सशक्त और समृद्ध बने। विकास की हर परियोजना जनता के जीवन को बेहतर बनाने की दिशा में एक ठोस कदम है। खटीमादृमेलाघाट सड़क परियोजना भी इसी दृष्टि से एक मील का पत्थर साबित होगी।
उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखंड सरकार प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी के “कनेक्टिविटी ही विकास की रीढ़” के संकल्प को आगे बढ़ा रही है। इसी भावना के अनुरूप राज्य के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में सड़कों का विस्तार और आधुनिकीकरण तेजी से किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने सड़कों को गढ्ढा मुक्त करने के निर्देश दिए।
कार्यक्रम के अंत में मुख्यमंत्री ने उपस्थित जनसमूह को आगामी दीपावली और अन्य त्योहारों की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ देते हुए कहा कि पर्वों के अवसर पर राज्य की सुरक्षा, सौहार्द और स्वच्छता बनाए रखना हम सबकी साझा जिम्मेदारी है।
इस अवसर पर जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष अजय मौर्य, नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष रमेश चंद्र जोशी, दायित्वधारी फरजाना बेगम, अनिल कपूर डब्बू, शंकर कोरंगा, पूर्व विधायक डॉ प्रेम सिंह राणा, एवं अन्य लोग मौजूद रहे।
