राज्य कैबिनेट (Uttarakhand Cabinet Expansion) में पांच पद खाली चल रहे हैं। इनमें चार पद काफी लंबे समय से खाली हैं जबकि एक पद पूर्व संसदीय कार्य मंत्री प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल के इस्तीफे के बाद खाली हुआ था। भाजपा के विधायक इन पदों के जल्द भरने का इंतजार कर रहे हैं लेकिन कई बार की चर्चाओं के बावजूद अब तक नतीजा सामने नहीं आया।
पूर्व में मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के शीर्ष नेतृत्व से इस पर बातचीत की चर्चाओं के बीच एक बार फिर सुगबुगाहट तेज हो गई है। प्रदेश अध्यक्ष महेंद्र भट्ट ने सीएम धामी से इस संबंध में बातचीत की है। उन्होंने बताया कि सीएम 17 अक्तूबर को दिल्ली जा रहे हैं। शीर्ष नेतृत्व से हरी झंडी मिलने के बाद जल्द ही कैबिनेट का विस्तार किया जाएगा।
अध्यक्ष भट्ट ने ये भी कहा कि उनका मकसद कैबिनेट विस्तार है लेकिन पहले निकाय चुनाव फिर पंचायत चुनाव, उप चुनाव, आपदा या अन्य किसी ऐसे कारण से घोषणा नहीं हो पाई है। कहा, जल्द ही ये इंतजार खत्म होने वाला है और कैबिनेट में पांच नए सदस्यों की एंट्री होगी।
