Russia-Ukraine War : रूस के रक्षा मंत्रालय ने गुरुवार को घोषणा की कि यूक्रेन के साथ जारी युद्ध के बीच रूस आठ मई की आधी रात से 10 मई तक युद्धविराम (सीजफायर) लागू करेगा। स्थानीय मीडिया के अनुसार, यह फैसला द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध में सोवियत लोगों की जीत की 81वीं वर्षगांठ के समारोह के दौरान लिया गया है।
सरकारी रूसी न्यूज एजेंसी ताश के अनुसार, रक्षा मंत्रालय ने कहा कि रूसी संघ के राष्ट्रपति और सशस्त्र बलों के सुप्रीम कमांडर व्लादिमीर पुतिन के फैसले के अनुसार, महान देशभक्ति युद्ध में सोवियत लोगों की जीत की 81वीं वर्षगांठ के समारोह के दौरान, 8 मई की आधी रात से 10 मई तक रूस की ओर से युद्धविराम घोषित किया जाता है।
चार मई को येवरेन में हुए 8वें यूरोपीय पॉलिटिकल कम्युनिटी समिट में यूक्रेन के राष्ट्रपति वोलोदिमिर जेलेंस्की ने 9 मई को होने वाली रूस की विक्ट्री परेड का जिक्र करते हुए कहा था कि इस बार शायद परेड में सैन्य उपकरण न दिखें। अगर ऐसा होता है, तो यह कई वर्षों में पहली बार होगा। वे सैन्य उपकरण नहीं ला सकते और उन्हें डर है कि रेड स्क्वायर के ऊपर ड्रोन मंडरा सकते हैं।
रूस के विदेश मंत्रालय की प्रवक्ता मारिया जखारोवा ने कहा कि अगर यूरोपीय संघ के देशों को लगता है कि वे जेलेंस्की के आक्रामक बयानों को नजरअंदाज कर सकते हैं, तो वे गलत हैं। उन्होंने कहा, ‘हम अच्छी तरह जानते हैं कि 9 मई को लेकर पश्चिमी देशों का रवैया क्या है। वे लगातार सोवियत स्मारकों को नष्ट कर रहे हैं, सोवियत सैनिकों की यादों को मिटा रहे हैं और इतिहास को बदलने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।’
रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, मॉस्को में होने वाली विक्ट्री परेड पर संभावित यूक्रेनी ड्रोन हमले की चेतावनी के जवाब में रूस के राजनयिकों और सैन्य अधिकारियों ने कहा कि रूसी सेना कीव के केंद्र पर बड़े पैमाने पर मिसाइल हमला कर सकती है। उनका कहना था कि अब तक रूस ने ऐसा करने से परहेज किया है, जबकि उसके पास इसकी क्षमता मौजूद है।
रूस के विदेश मंत्रालय ने यह भी बताया कि जेलेंस्की के येवरेन में दिए गए बयानों को लेकर आर्मेनिया के राजदूत को तलब किया गया। रूस के उप विदेश मंत्री मिखाइल गालुजिन ने मॉस्को में आर्मेनिया के राजदूत गुरगेन आर्सेन्यान से मुलाकात की और कहा कि आर्मेनिया द्वारा जेलेंस्की को रूस के खिलाफ ‘आतंकी धमकियां’ देने के लिए मंच देना पूरी तरह अस्वीकार्य है।
