Wildlife Week : मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने किया वन्य जीव प्राणी सप्ताह का शुभारंभ

देहरादून : Wildlife Week  मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने शुक्रवार को देहरादून जू में वन्य जीव प्राणी सप्ताह का शुभारंभ करते हुए कहा कि प्रदेश में वन्य जीवों के हमले में होने वाली जनहानि पर मिलने वाली सहायता राशि को बढ़ाकर 10 लाख रुपए किया जाएगा।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि वन्यजीव (Wildlife Week) हमारी आस्था, संस्कृति और परंपरा का अभिन्न अंग हैं, हमारे देवी-देवताओं ने भी इनके साथ सह-अस्तित्व का संदेश दिया है। मां दुर्गा का वाहन शेर, गणेश जी का वाहन मूषक, मां सरस्वती का हंस, भगवान कार्तिकेय का मोर, लक्ष्मी जी का उल्लू और देवाधिदेव महादेव के कंठ पर विराजमान नागराज और साथ बैठे नंदी हमारी सनातन संस्कृति में मानव और जीव-जगत के बीच एकात्म भाव के प्रतीक हैं। यही कारण है कि आदिकाल से वन्यजीवों का संरक्षण भारत की जीवन पद्धति का स्वाभाविक हिस्सा रहा है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य की लगभग 14.77 प्रतिशत भूमि, 6 राष्ट्रीय उद्यानों, 7 वन्यजीव विहारों और 4 संरक्षण आरक्षित क्षेत्रों के रूप में संरक्षित है, जबकि पूरे देश में ये अनुपात मात्र 5.27 प्रतिशत ही है। ये अंतर हमारे राज्य की पर्यावरणीय प्रतिबद्धता का स्पष्ट प्रमाण है। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखंड की हरियाली और इसमें स्वच्छंद विचरण करते वन्य जीव वर्ष भर देश-विदेश से आने वाले लाखों पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करते हैं। पर्यटकों की सुविधाओं का ध्यान रखने के साथ – साथ राज्य सरकार वनों के प्राकृतिक स्वरूप को अक्षुण्ण बनाए रखने और वन्य जीवों को सुरक्षा के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

मुख्यमंत्री  ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार ने एक लाख युवाओं को ’’सीएम यंग ईको-प्रिन्योर’’ बनाने की बात कही थी, अब ये स्कीम रंग ला रही है। इस स्कीम के अंतर्गत नेचर गाइड, ड्रोन पाइलट, वाइल्डलाइफ फोटोग्राफर, ईकोटूरिज्म, वन्यजीव टूरिज्म आधारित कौशल कार्यों को एक उद्यम के रूप में परिवर्तित किए जाने की दिशा में काम आगे बढ़ चुका है। इस सबके साथ- साथ अब प्रदेश के प्रत्येक जिले में छात्रों के लिए इको क्लब के जरिए वन्यजीवों से संबंधित शैक्षिक यात्रा के आयोजन भी कराए जा रहे हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भी विश्व मंच से ’’लाइफ स्टाइल फॉर एनवायरनमेंट’’ का आह्वान किया है जो मात्र एक नारा नहीं, बल्कि धरती मां को बचाने का एक मंत्र है। मुख्यमंत्री ने उत्तराखंड आने वाले सभी पर्यटकों से ये आह्वान करते हुए कहा कि वे जब भी जंगल सफारी या किसी धार्मिक पर्यटन स्थल पर जाएं तो वहां गंदगी न फैलाएं।

इस मौके पर वन मंत्री सुबोध उनियाल ने कहा कि वन और वन्य जीवों को बचाना हम सबकी जिम्मेदारी है। उन्होंने कहा कि इकोनॉमी, इकोलॉजी और टैक्नोलॉजी के मेल से ही प्रदेश आगे बढ़ सकता है।

इस मौके पर कृषि मंत्री श्री गणेश जोशी, राज्य सभा सांसद श्री नरेश बसंल, प्रमुख सचिव श्री आरके सुधांशु, प्रमुख मुख्य वन संरक्षक श्री समीर सिन्हा, प्रमुख वन संरक्षक वन्यजीव श्री रंजन कुमार मिश्रा सहित अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित हुए।
