उत्तराखंड में बारिश और बर्फबारी नहीं होने का सीधा असर अब तापमान पर साफ दिखाई देने लगा है। प्रदेशभर में सूखी ठंड लोगों को परेशान कर रही है। पर्वतीय इलाकों में शीतलहर और पाले का असर बना हुआ है, जबकि मैदानी जिलों में घने कोहरे ने जनजीवन प्रभावित कर दिया है।
मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र ने 10 जनवरी को देहरादून, ऊधमसिंह नगर और हरिद्वार सहित नैनीताल, चंपावत और पौड़ी जिलों में घने कोहरे को लेकर येलो अलर्ट जारी किया है। कोहरे के चलते सुबह और रात के समय दृश्यता कम रहने से यातायात पर भी असर पड़ रहा है।
हालांकि, पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों में दिन के समय धूप निकलने से लोगों को ठंड से कुछ राहत मिल रही है। मौसम विभाग के अनुसार प्रदेश में 15 जनवरी तक मौसम शुष्क बने रहने की संभावना है, जिससे फिलहाल बारिश या बर्फबारी के आसार नहीं हैं।
शुक्रवार को देहरादून में दिन का अधिकतम तापमान सामान्य से 3.5 डिग्री अधिक 22.8 डिग्री सेल्सियस रिकॉर्ड किया गया, जबकि न्यूनतम तापमान सामान्य से दो डिग्री कम होकर 4.6 डिग्री रहा। प्रदेश के अन्य हिस्सों में भी तापमान का रुख कुछ ऐसा ही देखने को मिला।
मौसम विभाग ने लोगों को सुबह-शाम सतर्क रहने और कोहरे के दौरान वाहन चलाते समय विशेष सावधानी बरतने की सलाह दी है।
