आगामी चारधाम यात्रा को पर्यावरण अनुकूल और स्वच्छ रूप से संचालित करने के उद्देश्य से जिलाधिकारी प्रतीक जैन की अध्यक्षता में एनआईसी सभागार में विभागीय अधिकारियों, नगर निकायों और संबंधित एजेंसियों के साथ बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक में यात्रा अवधि के दौरान उत्पन्न होने वाले कूड़े के वैज्ञानिक निस्तारण, संग्रहण एवं पुनर्चक्रण (रीसाइक्लिंग) को लेकर विस्तृत कार्ययोजना पर चर्चा की गई।
बैठक के दौरान जिलाधिकारी ने पूर्व में किए गए कार्यों की प्रगति रिपोर्ट की समीक्षा की और निर्देश दिए कि इस वर्ष ठोस अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन को और अधिक प्रभावी बनाया जाए। उन्होंने डिपॉजिट रिफंड स्कीम के माध्यम से कूड़ा निस्तारण को बढ़ावा देने पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि इससे यात्रियों को प्लास्टिक बोतल, रैपर एवं अन्य अपशिष्ट सामग्री वापस जमा कराने के लिए प्रेरित किया जा सकेगा।
जिलाधिकारी ने स्थानीय व्यापारियों, होटल एसोसिएशन, दुकानदारों एवं अन्य स्टेकहोल्डर्स को स्वच्छता अभियान से जोड़ते हुए व्यापक जन-जागरूकता कार्यक्रम संचालित करने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने बताया कि क्यूआर कोड, साइन बोर्ड, होर्डिंग्स, टिकटों पर स्वच्छता संदेश, सार्वजनिक उद्घोषणाओं तथा अन्य दृश्य-श्रव्य माध्यमों के जरिए “कूड़ा न फैलाएं, पर्यावरण बचाएं” का संदेश प्रत्येक यात्री तक पहुंचाया जाएगा।
इसके साथ ही यात्रा मार्ग पर संचालित होटलों, ढाबों एवं अन्य प्रतिष्ठानों में स्वच्छता व्यवस्था को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए स्टार रेटिंग और ग्रीन बैजिंग जैसी प्रोत्साहनात्मक योजनाएं लागू करने तथा गंदगी फैलाने वालों के खिलाफ दंडात्मक कार्रवाई के निर्देश दिए गए। बैठक में फूड सेफ्टी एवं हाइजीन मानकों के कड़ाई से पालन पर भी जोर दिया गया।
जिलाधिकारी ने डंडी-कंडी तथा घोड़ा-खच्चर संचालकों को भी स्वच्छता संदेश के प्रचार-प्रसार से जोड़ने की बात कही, ताकि चारधाम यात्रा के दौरान स्वच्छ, सुरक्षित और पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूक वातावरण सुनिश्चित किया जा सके।
